Since its conception Dive RAID has been known for its quality assurance system and data handling. The secure online system is already compliant with the new GDPR regulations. The new diver registration process has now been updated for ease of use.
The 3-step registration process is still in place; it has been streamlined to allow students to view courses online before completing the medical questionnaire and liability statements. However before any in-water training the medical questionnaire and liability statements MUST be completed. We urge dive centres to stress this to their newly registered students and divers.
Here is an overview of the new registration process from a user perspective:
They will be asked to enter their personal details including email address and create a password for their account. After entering this data and clicking “Register Me!” step 2 of the process will load. Step 2 includes the data privacy act information, which makes Dive RAID GDPR compliant.
At this point new users will now be able to see any courses on their profile and complete the online quizzes. Before any in-water training occurs users must complete the medical questionnaire and liability statements. We urge dive centres and instructors to ask students to complete this as soon as possible.
This can be done in the My RAID Profile area
The medical questionnaire is then valid, for student divers, for 6 months. A log of medical questionnaires can also be viewed on the profile, as well as the expiry date of the latest medical.
If you experience any issues or have any questions about the new registration process please contact us at the office.
