RAID Connect: Dive The Farne Islands

On 23rd June RAID UK & Malta headed up to Seahouses, Northumberland to join Deep Blue Pirates for a weekend of diving and camping. This annual event includes an evening dive at the Farne Islands on the Friday and two dives on the Saturday.

The weather and dive conditions were fantastic; wall to wall sunshine and flat calm seas. Conditions were so good the divers were treated to a rare dive at the superb dive site Crumstone followed by one of favourites, Longstone End.

Both sites were overflowing with life and plenty of seals checking out the divers. The Farne Islands is one of the best locations in the UK for diving with Grey Seals, with the best time between August and October. Although there are plenty of other marine creatures to keep you busy underwater.

After the dives the festivities and the good weather continued at the campsite with a BBQ – after a quick afternoon nap of course!
