Q3 2025 RAID UK Update: New Courses, Free Renewals & More
Summer may be winding down, but the activity here at RAID is just heating up! We've been working hard behind the scenes to bring you some fantastic updates and new resources designed to help your dive centers thrive.
This quarter, we're talking about everything from some major upgrades to the Diver Management System (DMS) to new courses and opportunities to boost your bottom line. Whether you're a new pro or a seasoned instructor, there's something in this update for you.
Let's dive in to what we have going on!
Diver Management System (DMS) Updates
Have You Done Your Five?
Course of the Month: Rest of 2025
First Aid & O2 Renewal
New DPV Advanced Tech Course
Course Names Changed
Diver Management System (DMS) Updates
We’ve introduced two new credit types, since the last launch of the new Extension credit: The Level Up and Upgrade Up.
Upgrade Up: For same-manual pathways (e.g., Scuba Diver → Open Water Diver, or Deep 40 (air) → Deep 40 (Nitrox)).
Level Up: For courses requiring new manuals/academics and open water training (e.g. Explorer 30 → Advanced 35, Deco 40 → 50 → 60).
Pricing has been incentivised to sell more courses whilst keeping our quality high and being training focused and market-relevant. Freedivers, yes, these credit types apply to you too.
Have You Done Your Five?
One of RAID’s biggest advantages is the RAID Zero FEe-Membership, if you complete five certifications per year, your professional renewal remains free forever. Some pros still haven't reached their five, so this is your reminder! While renewal with RAID is still cost-effective if you don't meet the minimum requirement, there’s no reason to pay when five certifications secure it at no cost.
Get your "five" done and lock in your free renewal. For those who complete their five certifications by year-end, renewal will be automatic, no process is needed, the system will just carry on your active status for next year.
Course of the Month 2025
September: Drysuit (+DPV)
October: Action Camera & Photography (+Drysuit)
November: O2 & First Aid (+Action/Photo)
December: Rescue Diver (+O2 & First Aid)
Running these themed months is a proven way to boost training numbers and support your dive centre with extra revenue streams. Remember, for information about the RAID Course of The Month, you can visit our website https://diveraiduk.com/course-of-the-month
First Aid & O2 Renewal
All RAID instructors need to be first aid and O2 qualified. This membership must be maintained regardless of whether you are actively teaching first-aid or O2 courses. Every two years, all RAID divers and pros must refresh their First Aid and O2 certifications.
Active trainers hitting the yearly certification target = free pro renewal.
If not, a renewal credit is required (available online, sensibly priced).
These are excellent late year programs to boost numbers, meet free-renewal thresholds, and keep your divers current.
New DPV Advanced Tech Course
We’ve officially launched the DPV Advanced Tech course. Check the latest RAID Diving Standards and use Level Up credits where required to progress divers from DPV to Advanced Tech DPV. This is another step forward in strengthening RAID’s technical pathway.
Streamlined Course Names: What's New?
We've made a small but significant change to some RAID course names to better fit on the e-Cards. Our training department has removed the word "Diver" from several course titles, resulting in a cleaner and more streamlined look.
The content and standards for these courses remain exactly the same. This is a change to the name only, aimed at improving the certification card. All previous e-Cards you have downloaded or saved are still completely valid and you are not required to update any of your marketing materials. However, if you check your certifications online, you will see the updated names reflected below.
