RAID UK Q3 2026 Member Update
As October arrives, the DiveRAID UK team is pleased to present the Q3 Member Update to keep all RAID UK supported members fully informed on essential operational developments, policy clarifications, and curriculum improvements.
1. Membership Renewals & Status Verification
A new feature in your login portal now displays a clear status message indicating whether you have met your free membership renewal prerequisites. If you have not yet met these requirements, the portal provides clear guidance to help you identify what is required.
Prerequisites Overview
Member Role | Minimum Renewal Requirements |
Instructors | Must qualify five (5) full certifications. Note: Try Dive Upgrades, Level-ups, Reboot, and Extension credits DO NOT count toward this total.. |
Dive Centres | Must purchase five (5) full credits. |
Divemasters | Must complete three (3) Try Dive certifications OR log five (5) dives. |
For full details and immediate reference, please consult the RAID General Standards Document, accessible directly within your login portal.
2. Instructor Crossover Policy & Standards Updates
Crossover Qualification Clarifications
To satisfy RAID entry-level instructor prerequisites, incoming professionals must hold Deep Nitrox, First Aid, and O2 Instructor qualifications.
Policy Adjustment: Previously, crossing-over instructors who lacked these credentials were receiving specialty instructor certifications at no additional cost. This was not the intent of the crossover framework.
New Requirement: Going forward, if an incoming professional lacks these qualifications, Instructor Trainers must deliver the necessary additional training prior to the candidate joining RAID. These specialty instructor courses are now chargeable and are not included free within the IDP exo credit.
First Aid & O2 Instructor Teaching Requirements
All instructors are required to teach two (2) First Aid and O2 qualifications within their two-year First Aid and O2 instructor status window (averaging one per year).
Implementation Timeline: Please check your renewal dates as this.will be enforced on expiry
3. Curriculum Highlights: Explorer 30 Adjustments
Adjustments have been implemented for the Explorer 30 course to align with industry norms and enhance instructional flow following Open Water training:
Streamlined Progression: Dive 1 of the Explorer 30 course can now be applied directly toward Dive 1 of the equivalent specialty course.
Commercial Advantage: This adjustment makes the "Level-up" pathway seamless and far more marketable. All members are encouraged to review the updated Explorer 30 guidelines in the standards portal.
4. RAID UK Digital Hub Enhancement
The DiveRAID UK staff have invested significant effort into upgrading the official RAID UK website, which now hosts expanded operational resources and product offerings. All members are strongly encouraged to regularly visit the website and check the Blog and Events sections for ongoing updates.
