Q4 2025 RAID UK Update: New Courses, Free Renewals & More
As the calendar year winds down, the focus here at RAID UK is on setting you up for success, both now and throughout 2026! We've been busy making crucial updates to our foundational documents and processes to ensure a cleaner, simpler, and more efficient experience for all our divers and dive centres.
This quarter, we're covering everything from a massive re-organisation of our Diving Standards to the return of physical C-Cards and a critical Professional Reminder to secure your free membership for next year.
Let's dive in to what's new!
New RAID General Diving Standards
The new RAID General Diving Standards (RGDS) have been released and are now available for all Divers, Professionals, and Dive Centres to view within their respective portals.
We have reorganized the extensive old RAID General Diving Standards (RGDS) document into three new sections. The new sections are RAID General Diving Standards, RAID Recreational Diver Standards, and RAID Recreational Professional Standards.
The result makes referencing easier, providing you now with 5 distinct parts:
RAID General Diving Standards
RAID Recreational Diver Standards
RAID Recreational Professional Standards
RAID Technical Standards
RAID Freediving Standards
This new structure significantly simplifies the process of locating and referencing the standards relevant to your training and activities.
Furthermore, the new Diver Management System (DMS), released in Q3 2025, now reflects these updated standards. You can see the new changes in the DMS as of October 20th, 2025.
Log in to your portal today to review the updated standards and explore the changes in the DMS!

Physical C-Cards Return
We're excited to announce that physical plastic certification cards will be available again starting November 1st, 2025.
While we will still automatically supply each diver with an e-card upon certification, we understand that some of divers still prefer a traditional plastic card.
How to get one: Physical plastic cards can be ordered through the online store at https://diveraiduk.com/c-card
Cost: Each card is priced at £25 (inc VAT), which covers production and delivery.
If you'd like a physical C-Card, just visit the store and follow the simple ordering steps!
Professional Reminder: Lock In Your Zero Fee Membership
As we enter Q4, this is a vital reminder for all RAID Professionals to secure your RAID Zero Fee Membership for the coming year!
The Zero Fee Membership is one of RAID's biggest advantages, allowing you to maintain your active professional status free of charge year after year.
How to Qualify:
To achieve the Zero Fee status for your professional renewal, you must meet two requirements by year-end:
Certify Five Divers: Complete a minimum of five certifications (certs) in the calendar year.
If you hit your five certs, your renewal will be automatic, and no renewal process or payment is needed.
If you do not meet the five-cert minimum, a sensibly priced renewal credit will be required to remain active.
Maintain Current Training: You must be current with your First Aid and Oxygen Administration (O2) certifications.
All RAID Instructors must refresh their First Aid and O2 qualifications every two years to maintain active professional status, regardless of whether they are teaching these specific courses.
Pro Tip: Running late-year First Aid and O2 programs is an excellent way to boost your certification numbers, help you reach the "Five Cert" threshold, and ensure your existing divers stay current!
Get your five certifications done now and lock in your free professional renewal!
